Freewheel has the best and most reputable bike shops in all of Minnesota. With 8 locations throughout the state, Freewheel helps thousands of cyclists every year with some of the best customer service around.
Freewheel is more than a bike shop, it’s a community of like-minded bike enthusiasts who ride there bikes hard.
When Freewheel owner, Kevin Ishaug, asked if I’d like to design a mural for the newest Minneapolis stop, I jumped on the opportunity!
This is a work in progress, and I’m so excited to see this project come to life!

DESIGN INTENT
My intent for this mural was to stay true to Freewheel’s brand ethos by using their brand colors and incorporating exciting “discoveries” through a cyclists perspective.
Minneapolis is one of my favorite places to bike because one minute you can be riding through lush forest, with swooping berms, rock gardens, and jumps, and the next you can be navigating your way around a vibrant city, circling lakes by bike path, and greenways.
My goal for this mural was to capture the feeling of discovery many of us get when pedaling through Minneapolis — by dirt or pavement.
